Our Customer wanted to move his existing practice to a much larger building in Felixstowe. He came to us with an empty space, and many good ideas with respect to what he wanted. He liked the idea of a “Scandi” look, with the aspiration to have striking but clean LED shelving to accentuate the frames and allow flexibility. We proposed a feature metal-work shelving display which works as both a display and a partition. This allows visibility to the space beyond but also privacy to the rear areas.
Our designers broke new ground with the displays. LED illuminated shelves form an elegant, horizontal display, which stretches far along the main wall. Mirrors break these horizontal lines, allowing the practice to group spectacle frames into different sections. The horizontal theme is continued with the wall-mounted glass top display drawers below the shelves.
Brushed brass ironmongery is used for the drawer handles, the pendant lights and the circular mirrors. The signage on the wall behind the reception also has a brass finish and together these details exude luxury and quality.
The deep blue on the walls, combined with powder blue and off-white tones are restful yet strong. The steel posts which support the floating shelves, and the mirrors are in a carefully chosen soft light grey.
