Bayfeilds Nantwich

Considered.
Layered.
Distinctive .

We work exclusively with opticians and hearing practices, which means every decision on this project was made with one thing in mind: how a customer actually chooses, tries and trusts a pair of glasses. Following our work on their Leamington practice, we were delighted to bring the Bayfields design language to Nantwich, a full turnkey transformation across two floors, from the retail floor and consulting rooms through to a audiology suite.

This roll-out took the Leamington scheme as its starting point, then developed. Richer black accents, large-scale lifestyle imagery at the front of the retail area, and feature lighting that draws the eye to Tom Ford, Prada and the rest of the collection as customers move through. Dark, tactile finishes give the frames room to be the colour in the space, while the full length mirrors let a customer picture themselves in a frame.

That same thinking carried through the whole practice. We renovated the consulting rooms and audiology room too, so the same materials, lighting and attention to detail that greet a customer in retail are still there when they go through for a test, no shift from boutique to clinical. As a full turnkey project, Mewscraft handled every stage, from furniture specification and ordering to trades, decoration and lighting, so Bayfields never had to manage more than one contractor.

The result is a practice that’s unmistakably Bayfields, built around how a high-end optical customer actually moves across both floors.
