Conways of Oxford had not been refurbished for many years. Our Client, the new owner, wanted to turn it into a high-end practice to suit the central Oxford location.
All the existing displays, furniture, flooring, ceilings, and lighting were to be removed. To add character to the space, dropped ceilings with hidden LED lighting and alcoves for bespoke displays were built. Our Designer proposed rich dark wood framing for these alcoves, with recessed LED spotlights, halo lighting and Alumina display rods to hold the spectacle frames. These were mounted on light marble effect panels.
Our Lola display shelves were installed with a grey marble back panel and LED illumination on the underside of each shelf. The layering of display lighting, ceiling lighting, accent lighting and adjustable spotlights showcase the frames and emphasise the feeling of opulence.
A dark marble effect finish was proposed for the reception desk, chosen to compliment the porcelain tile floor and add depth to the interior. Gold accents are introduced in the furniture handles, and the gold-textured wallpaper adds a luxurious feel. An Eliza lockable glass-topped display table with storage drawers breaks up the retail space, encouraging customers to browse.
