Fit-out Process
A successful fit-out depends on good planning and coordination from the outset. Before work begins, we make sure the programme, trades, materials and key details are organised so the project can move forward as smoothly as possible.
Once on site, Mewscraft manages the different stages of the work, keeps clients informed and deals with practical issues as they arise. From the first day on site through to handover, the aim is to keep the process clear, organised and well managed.
Before Site
A well-managed fit-out starts long before the first day on site. Before work begins, we carry out final checks and surveys, plan the programme, coordinate trades, order materials and fixtures, and arrange any bespoke manufacture required for the project.
We aim to resolve as much as possible in advance, giving everyone involved a clear programme and helping to minimise delays, disruption and unexpected decisions once work begins.
On Site
Once the fit-out begins, Mewscraft coordinates the works and manages the different trades throughout the project. We oversee progress against the agreed design, programme and budget, deal with practical issues as they arise and make sure each stage happens in the right sequence.
Communication remains an important part of the process. We keep clients informed as the project progresses, discuss any decisions that need to be made and take responsibility for coordinating what is happening on site. The aim is to make the fit-out as straightforward and well managed as possible.
Handover
As the project reaches completion, we review the space in detail, carry out final checks and identify anything that needs to be resolved before handover.
Once the works are complete, the finished space is handed over to the client ready for use, bringing together the decisions made throughout the design and fit-out process.
