What suppliers do you use?

Unlike many other design and fitting companies, we are not affiliated with any one brand. We source from any supplier which best fits the needs of your organisation. We can also tailor bespoke interiors to your needs.

Mewscraft Ltd. is also the sole UK and Ireland distributor for the fabulous Concept-s range of spectacle displays and furniture. The complete product range is of the highest quality, manufactured in Europe and designed with the most modern materials and technology. As sole distributors since 2003 Mewscraft has a deep understanding of the product range – and how it can add value to your space.

Mewscraft has a stunning showroom, featuring many of our classic products along with a range of new and innovative displays. It’s also possible to meet our retail designers and discuss your project – we welcome customers to visit us and discuss the possibilities.

Our showroom and offices are approx. 1.25 hours from Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham, just outside Monmouth. From London it is approx. 2.75 hours.

Our showroom is filled with displays, mainly from the Concept.s range. These are primarily for Opticians shops and spectacle retailers, and the ability to see the displays helps you imagine them in your own practice.

Do you have experience in listed buildings?

Yes. We have experience working with listed buildings, have submitted planning proposals and are aware of building regulations which may apply to you. We’ll figure out the best way to adhere to them with our team of architects and interior designers.

How do you get our brand across visually?

We take care of absolutely everything. Design and manufacture of bespoke furniture, redecoration, flooring, ceilings, lighting, electrics, plumbing, shop signage and graphics. This can all be designed in a way which communicates your brand, maintaining a consistent message for customers.

We can even can incorporate graphics, logos, and brand identity into your furniture. For example, bespoke cash desks. We can produce 3D images of bespoke products prior to production, so you can see exactly what you’re getting.

How much will it cost?

We ask you to outline your aims, requirement and project budget. We can then inform you what is achievable within these specifications – whether it’s a single room or a full remodelling of the premises.

We can also advise on how to make the most of your budget. By considerate sourcing of products and by targeting spend on key impact areas we can manage your budget to the best effect.

Our clients often tell us that their investment in great workplace design and refurbishment resulted in huge cost savings and increase business performance.

Do you provide office furniture?

Yes. We can source furniture coordinated with your company colours, reinforcing brand awareness and creating a unique commercial environment tailored to your specifications.

It can sometimes be difficult to find a desk that meets your requirements, housing PCs, monitors, printers, telephones, fax, cash till etc. Due to the variety of sizes and shapes of these items, we frequently design and manufacture reception desks to suit a specific layout. We select high quality materials, colours and finishes to suit both your requirements and the overall business aesthetic.

We can also offer you specialist drawer cabinets, to house your stock and keep your workspace clear and organised.

Do you design and fit office kitchens and bathrooms too?

Yes. We can design communal office kitchens with special attention to hygiene, using materials which are easy to clean. Depending on the size of your workforce and the intended use of the area, we can adapt the design to create the right look and feel.

Can you tender for our project?

Yes, we are extremely familiar with the tender process and are an accredited provider. We are also experienced working under JCT contracts or similar.

Can you make us compliant with the latest workspace building regulations?

Yes we can. Our architects and interior designers make sure that the building and design always complies with UK building regulations and guidelines when planning your refurbishment – helping you create a space that is welcoming, safe and accessible to all clients and customers.

If you have any special requirements, we can respond to them with bespoke design and specialist sourced equipment when necessary.

How long will it take?

The length of time the refurbishment takes will depend on the extent of work being carried out. We will discuss this with you beforehand, and will learn more about the day to day running of your organisation before implementing a plan. This way, we can find a solution which causes the least disruption. We can have our fitters work at hours which are less hectic, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.

A refit can be completed in as little as 7-10 days depending on the scale of the project.

Will we have to close during the re-fit?

We know that minimal disruption to your opening hours is important. Many of our customers have seasonal variations or peaks of use throughout the week. We can work during the nights or evenings to minimise disruption, and can work one area at a time – so there’s no reason to close.

What should I consider from my end?

The most successful projects are the ones where the client has a good idea of what they want to achieve from the start. You may want to think about who your typical visitors are, how they interact with the space and what you want them to do. You also need to think about how you want them to feel in your space – the best way is to put yourself in their shoes and plan on that basis.

As professionals experienced in creating spaces, we can then work with you to create a refurbishment that delivers on all fronts.
